Van Duser Law P.A. is a bilingual personal injury law office serving both English and Spanish speaking clients located in Land O Lakes, Florida, near Tampa. We handle cases (for both plaintiffs and defendants) involving serious and catastrophic injuries, car accidents, trucking accidents, construction accidents, defective products, and premises liability cases including slip or trip and falls, among others. Kevin Van Duser, Managing Member of the office, has been practicing law since 1998 and is licensed in both Florida and New York. He graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and International Business and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from Syracuse University College of Law.

Kevin has proven trial and courtroom experience and has developed a reputation as a personal injury lawyer over the last 25 years that has led to several Honors and Recognitions.
From 2016 – Present, Kevin has been a recipient of the “America’s Most Honored Lawyers” Award, recognizing the “Top 1%” and awarded for “continuous professional recognition” which includes “significant mentions in the press, honors by recognized trade groups, and acclaimed recognitions by peers or clients”.
From 2015 – Present, Kevin has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell in Litigation and Insurance. AV Preeminent is the highest peer rating a lawyer can receive and “signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards”.
From 2016 – Present, Kevin has received the “Judicial Edition” AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell which is the “highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards” reflecting the confidential opinions of judges.
Every year since 2018, Lawyers.com has also rated Kevin as AV Preeminent which represents “the pinnacle of professional excellence earned through a strenuous Peer Review Rating process” and is further the “highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards” from Lawyers.com.
Kevin has been named as one of Attorney and Practice Magazine’s “Top 10 Attorneys for Personal Injury” (“less than 1% of attorneys nationwide will receive this invitation for membership”), and to the Best of the Best Attorneys “Top 10 Personal Injury Attorney” list for Florida (“less than 0.5% of Attorneys will receive this distinction”).
Kevin has also been selected as one of “America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators”. To be considered for selection, “an attorney must have litigated (for either plaintiff or defendant) a matter (1) with at least $2,000,000 in alleged damages at stake or (2) with the fate of a business worth at least $2,000,000 at stake”. In addition to these minimum qualifications, other criteria include “the attorney’s lifetime legal achievements, professional experience, significant case results and/or verdicts, peer reputation, client satisfaction, other notable honors, media notoriety, and community impact,” among other factors. With these standards for selection to America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators, “less than one-half percent (0.5%) of active attorneys in the United States will receive this honor”.
In addition, Kevin has been selected as a “Premier 100 Trial Attorney” by the American Academy of Trial Attorneys. The attorneys selected as Premier 100 Trial Attorneys “have been recognized by the bench and bar as leading Trial Attorneys in the United States. Members of the Premier 100 Trial Attorneys have satisfied stringent criteria and standards as established by the AATA Board of Directors. Of the 1.2 million attorneys currently active in the U.S., less than 1% are selected to receive the AATA Premier 100 designation”.

Over the last 25 years, Kevin's practice has included both state and federal cases. He is currently admitted to practice law in the following courts: All Florida State Courts; United States District Court, Middle District of Florida; United States District Court, Northern District of Florida; United States District Court, Southern District of Florida; United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit; All New York State Courts; United States District Court, Northern District of New York; United States District Court, Western District of New York; and, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
He has been recognized for community involvement and is a past recipient of the 40 under 40 award, a recognition for excelling in the workplace and in the community. Kevin has served on the Board of Trustees for a local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was a member of the Board’s Executive and Governance Committee. Kevin has been a lecturer for Continuing Legal Education courses on trial and litigation topics and has served as Chair and Organizer of Continuing Legal Education seminars. He enjoys swimming, softball, and gym workouts.

Prior to starting Van Duser Law, P.A., Kevin was a Senior Trial Attorney for the State of Florida at The Hanover Insurance Group, a publicly traded multi-billion dollar insurance company, and was also a Partner with the Sugarman Law Firm, a mid-sized personal injury firm located in Upstate New York. Kevin and his wife, Maria, reside in Land O Lakes, Florida along with their two beautiful daughters, Camilla and Gianna, and their lovable Golden Doodle, Papi.
